2. Data processing on our website

2.1 Visiting our website / access data

Each time you use our website we collect access data automatically transmitted by your browser so that you can visit the site. Access data include in particular: the IP address of the requesting device; date and time of the request; address of the webpage called and of the referring page; details of the browser and operating system used; online identifiers (e.g. device identifiers, session IDs). Processing of this access data is necessary to enable the visit and ensure the ongoing functionality and security of our systems. For these purposes, access data are also temporarily stored in internal log files, to compile statistics on website usage, improve our website in line with user habits (e.g. growing share of mobile devices) and administer the website in general. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The information stored in the log files does not allow any direct inference as to your identity—in particular we only store IP addresses in truncated, anonymised form. Log files are stored for 30 days and then anonymised and archived.

If you contact us by e‑mail, telephone or via the contact form, the personal data you provide in this electronic communication are processed. The fields captured in the contact form are visible on the form. The data provided are stored solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry and any follow‑up questions. Legal bases: performance of our services and taking steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2.3. Reservation (discount code pre‑registration)

If you pre‑register for a discount code, we process personal data such as salutation, title (if applicable), first and last name and your e‑mail address. The data are processed exclusively for providing the discount code and handling any queries. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

2.4. Booking

If you book a product via our website, by e‑mail or by phone, we process the personal data you transmit to us for handling the booking. These include: salutation; title (if applicable); first name, last name; e‑mail address; phone number; billing address; job title; department (if applicable); company (if applicable). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

2.5. Registration

To use our login area you can register. Mandatory fields are marked. Without these data, registration is not possible. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

To obtain company data from the commercial register we use the OffeneRegister.de service of Open Knowledge Foundation Deutschland e.V., Singerstraße 109, 10179 Berlin, Germany. If you enter your company name on the homepage, an API call retrieves your company data from the register so the registration form can be pre‑filled. The category of personal data processed in this context is your company affiliation.

3.Cookies

We use cookies to make visiting our website attractive and to enable certain functions. Some cookies are deleted after you close your browser (session cookies). Others remain on your device and let us recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser to inform you about cookies and decide individually whether to accept them, or to exclude cookies in certain cases or in general. Not accepting cookies may limit website functionality.

4.1. Hosting and e‑mail delivery

We use service providers for hosting and for sending e‑mails. Where data are transferred to third countries, appropriate safeguards are applied.
